STUDY CAMP - I"S.E.F" On the first day of second term this year, ten girls walked through the school gate, confident about their semester's work for their approaching end of semester exams. What had they done during the holidays to make themselves so confident you may ask? For one whole week they enjoyed themselves studying I Enjoyed? (Note from typist - you've got to be joking!) |.S.C.F. Study Camp held at Mt. Tambourine was a camp for one week in the holidays especially designed for study with tutors, who were high school teachers and university students. Each day we did five hours study in four sessions. We were allowed to study subjects of our own choice and we were able to do our own revision or attend tutorials on various areas of our subjects. Each subject's work through the past semesters was covered. We also enjoyed a volleyball tournament, displaying our champion volleyball skills throughout the week. Each afternoon we had a discussion - Topical Viewpoint - on areas such as evolution and creation, the Church and Prophecy in the Bible. The evening's activities included singing and bible studies. and a terrific musical pro- gramme and evening walks. Grammar made themselves well known and will be remembered with tap-dancing and war-cries led by an ex-Grammar head girl, Julie Kinross. Everyone who went, learnt a lot both in school subjects and spiritually and many came back with changed lives. Anyone who went can tell you that we all had a really tremendous and memorable week.
