YEAR 8 PROGRAM: NAVIGATE
D uring my time at Marrapatta, the Year 8 program, Navigate , allowed me to get to know more about myself, my peers, and the environment around Marrapatta. Even though my class only went for four days, due to a public holiday, we still had an amazing time. On day one, we arrived at Marrapatta and the highlight of that day would be the exciting high ropes course. On day two, we headed out to beautiful Bella Junction for a camp out: we had to carry our own packs and navigate our way with a compass, GPS, and a map! We made lunch under a big tree as a class, and we loved being able to bond as a group. Day three was physical: canoeing; biking; and exploring Bella Junction. I really enjoyed cooking Pad Thai for dinner with my group on the last camp out day, before we packed and returned to Marrapatta. Our week at Marrapatta created a much stronger bond between us all and helped everyone to become closer. I think that this is an experience that I will never forget. Alice Xie (8M)

Marrapatta has helped me make new connections with new people and has helped me make stronger connections with people I already know. Marrapatta is a fun and challenging program which has taught me to respect the environment, respect others and value the little things in life. Lucinda Banwell-Jarvis (8G)
Marrapatta has provided our class with amazing opportunities, memories, and life-long friendships. The Marrapatta campus allows students to engage in a diverse range of experiences from high ropes, bike riding, cooking, hiking to plant rehabilitation and frog spotting. Our class has greatly benefitted from these enriching experiences as we have ultimately become closer friends and have extended our skill set. Emily Wille (8R)
