Other library services

1. Interlibrary loans

• Limited interlibrary loans may be organised from another school, or a public or university library by the Academic Research Librarian . • The collection, care, and return of such all loans [and any fines incurred] are the responsibility of the borrower. 2. Class texts: • Extended loans of resources required for curriculum units or special programs will be transacted through the library in consultation with the teaching staff. All of these resources must be returned by the due date, as they may be required by other classes and some of these texts are out of print and cannot be replaced. 3. Archives: • The library manages the School archive collection of documents and realia. These include school magazines, programs, photographs, artefacts, documents, uniforms, etc.

• This collection is managed by the Librarian: Special collections .

• When not on display, the collection is securely stored in the School Archive.

• Students may access the collection though a system managed by the Librarian: Special collections. In-library use is permitted, as is use of exhibits to enhance assessment presentations. In the latter case, loans are transacted for the lesson time only, in exchange for a student ID card. 5. Sheet music: • Sheet music for the band, choral, and orchestral programs is transacted through the library system. • Students should keep music secure in a hard cover music folder and return pieces as soon as they are no longer required. • The Director of instrumental music will decide upon any levy for lost material. 6. Displays • Students may request use of the library facilities, including the screens, for displays: for example, advertising for a club; the results of a competition; the display of class work; photographs of an excursion; etc. • Email or make these requests personally to the Director of the Library and Information Services. 7. Service opportunities • All music must be returned by the due date before the end of the school year.
