The President's " At Home" for 1954 was hdd too late for inclusion in last year's notes. Our President for 1954, Miss E . G. Cavaye, invited members to a dinner at Rowe's on ,\,Y ed- n esday, December 1st, at 6.30 p.m. Over sixty Old Girls at- t endE-d and many apologies were r eceived from others who were unable to attend the evening. The banqueting hall was ver y bright with lights and flowers. Many school stories were told befoTe we sat down to ea t our dinner. Following the dinner , members were entertained by Mr. Rex Scott who showed a film of his trip round Australia. This made many people envious and gave them itchy feet. Thank you , Mr. Scott. 'rhis year the usual toasts were eliminated and this move proved very popular. Our President was a recipient of a small gift in appreciation of her active work fo r the Association during 1954. Old Girls ' Day 'rhe fir st funct ion for the year was Old Girls' Day held at the school on Saturday, April 2nd. The customary Tennis and Basketba ll matches were played with the school. Congratula- t ions to the school for downing the Old Girls in the A Tea1ii. Basketball. vVe came up smiling, however, to win both the B and C team matches .
