DRAMA JUNIOR DRAMA PRODUCTION
The Junior Drama Production 20 000 Leagues Under the Sea is very different to anything we've done before. Our world takes place underwater and is a remarkable experience both to act in and watch. Through this unique journey on board the Nautilus we have been able to explore our characters and bond with our amazing cast. Mr Dervish-Ali, Ms Lindsay, Georgie Falting (11B) and our technical designers and helpers have been able to transport us through the magical worlds of 20 000 Leagues Under the Sea . We have thoroughly enjoyed this experience and are sure many would agree. Estella Mitchell (8R) and Adelaide Chan (9M)
The production, 20 000 Leagues Under the Sea, was a blast for us as members of the Topsy Turvy Realm. What we enjoyed most about our universe was the creative and comedic freedom we had to experiment with character. Our world wouldn’t be the same without the incredibly goofy sound effects provided by the wonderful drama staff member Isabella Hall (thank you for ‘booing’ ambience). Overall, it was a wonderfully unique production to participate in and we will never forget it. Lucia Milani (8M) and Hana Tomsett (8M)
This production has been an entertaining and exciting experience. One of the highlights was the shark fight scene between Captain Nemo and Ned Land. This scene was interesting, dramatic, and extremely fun to play. The future world was a futuristic and modern version of the original world that the play started in. Rather than being set in a submarine, this world was in space. This allowed us to explore new ways of acting and becoming characters that we hadn’t tried before. We absolutely loved to perform
onstage, and we can’t wait for next year! Anna Hodge (9L) and Thalia Kovacevic (9L)
