YEAR 9—JOURNEY BORUMBA DAM

T hrough the Year 9 Journey program I was able to challenge myself physically while strengthening and making new friendships. Highlights included making it to the top of Bitumen Hill on the bike and kayaking. My favourite part of camp was the high ropes course. It was a great activity that required teamwork and bravery. It challenged everyone mentally and physically and was an overall rewarding experience. Marrapatta was an amazing way to explore the great outdoors while bonding with other girls and learning important life skills. Clodagh Mann (9G)

YEAR 9—JOURNEY NOOSA RIVER

M y Marrapatta experiences thus far have been invaluable. At each camp, I have worked with such a diverse group of girls, many of whom I have formed lifelong friendships with. The programs themselves, although challenging, have enabled me to discover a new side to myself, one that is passionate about numerous activities that I otherwise would never have the opportunity in which to participate. A stand out memory of my time at Marrapatta was the high ropes course during my Year 9 Journey. I remember laughing so hard that I had to hold onto my friends for stability while standing on one of the suspended ropes. Once we finally made it to the top, we proceeded to yet again collapse in a fit of laughter from the sound of the rubber chicken ‘ending bell’. Emma-Rose Neil (9M)
