SPORT

T he 2019 Volleyball season has been a major success. Competition was tough, but we enjoyed watching the girls work hard during training sessions and games. Strong attendance at strength and conditioning sessions helped build individual fitness levels and allowed girls to perform at their best. This year, all of the School’s QGSSSA Volleyball teams placed in the top two of their division. The Open, Senior A, Year 10 and Year 8A teams all won premierships. Special mention to the Year 10 team, who did not drop a set all season and the Year 8A team, who remained undefeated.

Our main goals for this season were to build a strong support system between teams, keep up energy in training and promote teamwork. These goals were achieved through the incredible hard work and spirit of the girls. Congratulations to all players on such a successful season. We also thank Volleyball Coordinator, Miss McCorley, who has been an incredible leader. For us, volleyball was not only a fantastic sport which we have enjoyed playing, it has also been the foundation of many friendships that will last a lifetime.
