and apply their skills. To further develop their understanding, students studied biomechanics, analysing their own golf swing in comparison to that of a professional. Term 3 involved Sports Aerobics and the complementary study of exercise physiology. Students created a Sport Aerobics routine in a single, pair or trio and performed in front of their peers. Girls learned the energy systems used during the different stages of a routine and were asked to evaluate the effectiveness of their own training regime, targeted at improving their fitness for Sports Aerobics. Finally, Term 4 involved students participating in a Basketball unit. Students participated in drills and games, aimed at improving their skills and decision-making capabilities. In 2018, Senior Physical Education involved a variety of sports and activities, with each term covering a different physical activity and theoretical component. In Term 1, 35 Year 12 students travelled to Marrapatta for the three-day life saving camp. Presented with a range of impromptu scenarios, designed to test student’s reactions to real-life situations, girls were required to manage injured, distressed, unconscious or physically incapable casualties. This exercise prepared students for situations they may be confronted with in the future. From this, students were taught the importance of learning life saving in reference to Figueroa’s Framework. In Term 2, students travelled to Victoria Park Golf Complex to play Golf. Each lesson students aimed to improve their golf skills by hitting at the driving range. On the golf course, students were assessed on their ability to choose the correct golf club
