VOLLEYBALL This year celebrated the 50th season of QGSSSA Volleyball, and what a great season it has been. We started the year with a goal to win 70 per cent of matches and to develop a cohesive volleyball community. Through the hard work, dedication and team spirit of Girls Grammar volleyball players, these goals were achieved.

WATER POLO The 2018 Water Polo season has been one of the most exciting yet, with a record number of teams entered into the Brisbane Water Polo Incorporated competition. The spirit and enthusiasm from players and the Girls Grammar Water Polo community was present throughout the season, and especially on game days. The competition was fierce, with Girls Grammar teams competing against a range of other school teams and clubs. The 2017/18 season finished with 14 of the School’s 19 teams making it through to semi-finals. A special mention to the 12A, 14A, 14B, 15C White, 17B development teams who placed second and the 13C White and 15C Blue teams who won gold. This outstanding achievement could not have been accomplished without the girl’s dedication and determination. The School entered numerous State Titles and National Club Championships during the season. From these tournaments, numerous Grammar girls were selected to play in State, National and other representative teams. We thank all coaches and managers for their support throughout the season, with special mention to Head Coach, Mr Daley and Water Polo Coordinator, Ms Luiten for their hard work and dedication. We are extremely proud of each team’s efforts and their amazing results are testament to their hard work. The Year 9 and Year 8B teams won premierships, with the majority of the School’s other teams finishing in second place. Girls Grammar also competed in the Volleyball Queensland Senior Schools Cup, Junior Schools Cup and the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup. These competitions presented girls with the opportunity to further develop their court skills and game strategy. Thank you to Miss McCorley, Volleyball Coordinator, for your hard work and support. We have had a fantastic time as Volleyball captains and are incredibly proud of this year’s squad. We hope Girls Grammar Volleyball continues to grow.
