GALA CONCERT— CALL OF THE WILD This year’s Gala Concert transported guests to the sweeping plains of Africa, the sunburnt horizon of the Australian outback and the vast forests of the Amazon, embracing the Call of the Wild. Gala explored the extraordinary and inherently unpredictable wonders of the natural world, while demonstrating the power of music to unify, inspire and transform. The concert involved a diverse and captivating repertoire including original compositions from Mr Daniel O’Brien and Ms Merinda Dias-Jayasinha (2014), which celebrated our innate connection to nature. Performed by Girls Grammar’s senior ensembles, a massed choir and soloists, Le Ming (Megan) Chen (12G), Tiffany Davison (12M) and Martina Marrama (11G), Gala showcased the incredible talent of students, and the depth and breadth of the School’s music program.
