Year 121TS is an exciting and challenging subject. Over the year we have used many programs in the Adobe Creative Suite to create digital and interactive content. We have also learnt many new techniques and are making our own websites

One of my favorite courses. Senior ITS requires you to think logically. while also presenting stimulating material This year. we focused on the Design. Develop and Evaluate (DDE) cycle and integrated it into two projects: rebranding and website building for a real client. Both were invaluable experiences and promoted skills such as problem solving. designing and CSS/HTML 5 programming

Throughout the year. there have been innovative and exciting events that have challenged every student who participated in MIT. We have worked on creative and practical tasks such as working with various types of digital design and photography software, as well as creating aesthetically pleasing compositions related to warrior women in folklore. MIT has been fun and engaged us with lots of new learning

On 19 August approximately 250 boys and girls from both Brisbane Grammar School and Brisbane Girls Grammar School took part in the 2013 Quest. This collaborative activity has been a tradition for many years and has evolved from creating bridges with paddle pop sticks, to designing devices to hit a specific target, to a multi-levelled thinking project that offers students valuable skills for the real world This year. in small groups comprising both boys and girls, we were given the product ' Java Jake's Fairbeans Coffee' and asked to work together in our teams to produce a presentation. a marketing scheme, packaging for our coffee beans. and a logo and brand I really enjoyed the event and relished the opportunity to be involved in such unconventional learning as well as meeting new people and making new friends. I think the best part of the programme was the team work and group effort the project required, which not only enabled strong bonds to be made but gave everyone a chance to contribute.
