Encompassed by the House mantra of 'Fly and Dream 2013', England girls were encouraged to be involved. courageous and spirited throughout the entire year We wanted to see England girls become even friendlier and more enthusiastic than ever by embracing both House and school spirit. Festivities began early in Term One, with the always-enjoyable House Party. themed 'England Girls around the World'. Each grade was decked out from head to toe in blue and we enjoyed an afternoon of music, games, performances and cake Next in the England calendar was the swimming carnival. The exceptional show of House spirit at the first Inter house event of the year was reflected in our successful takeaway at the end of the day. The girls enjoyed an endless quantity of 10/11es. floaties and war cries. and to top it off. England placed an absolutely amazing third - the first time we've placed in the top three in the past five years! inter house Cross Country and Athletics have seen the England girls show just as much incredible spirit and enthusiasm. Placing fifth and fourth respectively, the

success of England in 2013 has been unprecedented and inspiration al.

To embrace the theme of support and integration, many breakfasts have been held between grades. The importance of this initiative was based on the hope that England would become an even more unified. more supportive and friendlier House. in particular we hoped for stronger relationships between Grade Twelves and their Grade Eight buddies. To encourage interaction, the two grades met in House group every alpha Friday of Semester Two and shared relaxing morning conversations. dodge ball games and the always- popular chocolate game With the wholehearted support of the girls from each grade, this year England House has flown to extraordinary heights and achieved even more than we could ever have hoped
