The Year 10s were particularly impressive with is abella Franks named Inter house Athletics Champion. and Josephine Auer joint runner-up The fourth and final season saw a decline in the senior bears' authority. in a rebellion of not-so-epic proportions, they lost their tussle for control against their younger. hungrier and fitter counterparts It was time for them individually to move on and re-establish themselves in larger. distant icefields. Thus passed another cycle in the Beanland Bears' sloth. Comprehensive analysis of the bears' vernacular revealed immense gratitude towards Mrs Chakravorty. the Head of the Sloth, as well as Mrs Moore. Mrs Byrne. Mr HUPpert. Ms Smith, Mrs WaverIey- Smith, Mr Hickey. Ms Coughlan and Mr Larkin. it is perhaps fitting to end with a translation of the sloth's 2013 motto: 'Beanland not a house. but a home'

Champion. it appeared that the evolutionary process had accelerated - a sub-species of 'super-streamlined polar bear' appeared to be emerging. perhaps due to climate change selective pressures. The sloth once again proved its mettle at Inter house Cross-country. outwitted only by the elusive Arctic octopi. to place second in this annual gruelling race for survival The second season was themed 'Spirit' and weekly Sloth Assemblies included strange activities without any immediately clear evolutionary purpose. These activities closely resembled that of human activities 5-way dodge ball. a variety show. and the teaching of a new. rhythmic war- cry, complete with tribal stomping and slapping. Intra-sloth bonds were also strengthened over brown steaming drinks and brown melted deliciousness throughout the term The cold winter winds saw the advent of 'Ninja Training' in order to encourage internal harmony and thus optimise survival prospects in an especially arduous third season. The polar bears were not in their native habitat

A fifth group, entirely comprised of cubs. soon joined, eager to prove themselves as worthy members of the sloth. Their initiation appeared to be highly successful with the sloth's customary pink- and-white-iced saccharine slab well received. and the introductory tours sufficiently orienting. Appropriate Iy. the theme for this first season of 2013 was 'Getting to Know You' it was long before the first rustles of autumn that the cubs faced their ultimate evolutionary trial of survival - Year 81nterhouse Volleyball Fortunately. they emerged as top predators in the Grammarctic food chain. and extended the sloth's proud streak to three consecutive wins in this event The entire sloth was then thrown into the deep end at Inter house Swimming.
