The 2012-2013 Water Polo season was unquestionably one of the most successful BGGS has seen yet. Eleven of the fifteen teams made it through to the semi-final rounds. From there the U13B. U14C. U15C, U15A. U16C and U18A <0PEN) teams successfully secured a spot in their respective grand finals. We ended the season with three gold medals for the U13B. U14C and U15C teams

The sport of Water Polo is highly physical. involving thirteen players, tight togs. mouthguards
and. of course. those attractive caps. More than any other sport. Water Polo requires high levels of fitness and stamina, speed. agility. precision, strength and game knowledge - and all of it under the water! The sport creates all-round athletes who work together and support each other. Through this teamwork and camaraderie. Water Polo develops friendships in a way that individual sports cannot The spirit and enthusiasm of the BGGS Water Polo community has been sustained throughout the season. reflected in the outstanding turnout by players, coaches. managers and parents at the end-of-season celebrations BGGS was represented at various State and National Championships throughout the season across all age groups. Many girls from these teams were then selected into Queensland. Throughout the year, girls have had fun and stayed fit by participating in other lifestyle activities such as Yoga. Pilates and Aquarobics
