the international Womens Day awareness 51att. where girls came together to create a paper doll chain symbolising unity within the School and the women In our society Teachers were Invited to strut their stuff In the Inaugurat Teacher Fashion Show. where they relived their high school fashion choices in front of an enthusiastic crowd. which resulted in many laughs

and more Importantty. lots of clothing vouchers for a local young women s refuge At the same time as the fashion show. students ran a clothing drive for homeless teens. donating Items of clothing to local teenage girls at risk. This was a huge success and was greatly appreciated by Zigzag who then visited the School to talk to the committee about the issue of homelessness in our community. Over the in Id-year break. students visited Zigzag to find out more about how shelters are run and the challenges facing social workers on a day-to-day basis The students found this experience most enlightening. strengthening their commitment to the cause Early in Term 111. a group of ten girls visited the Pindari Shelter where they had an afternoon tea with the clients and provided manicures and massages for the women. it was a really humbling and valuable experience for the girls, who showed a great sense of maturity and sensitivity. At Open Day the committee sold beautiful greeting cards featuring the artwork of three art students The cards have been very popular and look to become a regular fundraising activity for the committee Wealso staged a n~OasisHome!ess~F1tin~Competition and an art afternoon for local service MICAH. where students create artworks to brighten up the homes of newly housed women at risk We particularly enjoyed our annual Christmas Wish Tree where students bought individual gifts for children o1 homeless women in the local community. These were put together by Year 12 students to form year level banners in the Schoors cafe. Every day was marked by a different cuisine from continents around the world. This was a very popular element of u ticulturalWeek as the girls and staff love tasting all the exotic foo s from different cultures. To finish the festive week a uring Friday lunch time to unveil he multi- concert was h cultural banners that students had created during the week This showcased some of the SchooLs finest musicians and dancers.
