the Bumblebee. His musicianship and exbraordinary technique strumed both the teachers and the string students who were involved in a workshop in which they were Introduced to the Jazz style and improvisation. The Australian a Gappella Jazz vocal quartet The Idea of North, also visited. This unique group, who has taken their music and style all over the world, performing everything from azz to gospel, folk to comedy, dazzled the audience with their musicianship. The students were also involved in a workshop which consisted of vocal techniques, blending exercises and valuable experiences for all who attended. Their outstanding performance was positively inspiring and win be talked about by the students for years to come. The o0.0urrioular Music Programme also had many performances outside of the school grounds With performances at Government House by individuals and ensembles, as wad as the Combined Choir participating in the AllZAO Day service in the city, and Chamber Singers performing at the annual Centaur Service the girls were able to show he public what a great Music Departmen the 80 o01 has.

in December, the School finished off the year with the Spring Concert and the annual Christmas Carols, with involvement from all aspects of the Music Programme, to share our love of music with the coinmruxity that is the family of Brisbane Girls Grainmar School. We would like to sincerely thank the Music Support Group for all of the hard work that they invested into the music programme. The students, as well as teachers and parents, are incredibly grateful for the organisation which would not be possible without the Music Support Group. We would also like to thank the music teachers for their encouragement throughout the year which enabled the girls to keep working hard to achieve constant excellence in the thing that we love most-music.
