handson and practical experience. Cyan produced and marketed a range of screen- printed T-shirts with original and innovative designs. Yarandom produced and sold environmentally friendly candles. Both student companies showcased their products at the Brisbane Girls Grammar School and Brisbane Grammar School Open Days and the YA\ Trade Fair in August. Each group was successful at the Trade Fair: Yarandom taking out the Product Knowledge and Sales Award as well as being the Environmental Award Winner and receiving a runners, .. IP award in Marketing; Cyan winning the Merchandising Award

In keeping with our commitment to the promotion of young entrepreneurs the Economics Department once again sponsored teams together with Brisbane Grammar School, in the Young Achievement Australia NAAj Programme. Each group of around twenty students was partnered with a sponsor company and mentors who are professionals. business people and people from the local community.
