"F1 e. .. take the c ild. .." Ita Ia muttered Ob ron would be happy to get t e ch'Id; after all, he did need a henchman. Besides, Titania did have Cobweb, Peaseblossom and all the rest Oberon grinned craftily. He had had his way He hurried away without saying anything, with the changeling slouching along behind him. He had to get away before Titania changed her mind After a few days, Oberon wished he had never seen the little Indian changeling boy The child had proved to be sullen and unpleasant. Thorn, as Oberon had called him, sulked when asked to do something When unhappy he would go to his room and play awful loud rock music till all hours e was uncooperative and rude. .. and O eron had had enough! do wish you would stop being so sullen and unpleasant, " Oberon said to the child " do wish you would stop being so sullen and unpleasant, " mimicked Thorn "Are you just going to copy everything I say and do now?" asked Oberon "Are you just going to copy everything I say and do now?' Thorn once again mimicked riastily Oberon figured that if he said something that Thorn couldn't copy he would give up, so Oberon started reciting all the tongue twisters he knew, from "She Sells Sea shells" to "Peter Piper", "

Obero said them with no fau t Unfortu ate!y for Oberon, Thorn was like a human tape recorder and he copied each one word for word This went on for a day or two until Oberon came up with a better plan. "I'm an idiot!' he said to Thorn. Of course, Thorn knew better than to copy that. Well, 15nt that better?" Oberon asked Well, 15nt that better?' Back to square one Oberon sat Thorn down and had a talk with him. What Oberon told Thorn scared him out of his mind, and Thorn ran back to Titania and hid behind her Thorn quickly turned over a new leaf. Since the whisper in his ear he was a perfect gentleman and was nominated for the most pleasant changeling in the world Ihe was beaten by a changeling in Croatia called Wantonj. The strangest thing to come out of Thorn was that he always acted the complete opposite of Oberon and said the complete opposite of what Oberon was likely to say Titania was confused by Thorns new personality and eventually her curiosity got the better of her She asked Oberon what he had done to make the child so pleasant Oberon told Titania exactly what he had told Thorn. .. You know Thorn, Iwas exactly like you when I was your age. "
