won the 17 Years age group in the fostest time of the day: 15.48 minutes. and also Pelin Dundarj901j13 years, 5thI; Julia Wills 19Mj 114 years 5thI; Rachel Ferris 100 115 years, 3rdI; Signd Mewing 11 I G1 I 16 years, 4thI; and Any Cunninghamj12Mj117years, 4thI These impressive results are a testament to the ongoing devotion and prowess of the coaching team, led by the talent and inspiration of Mr Tony Booth and the spirit and organisation of Coordinator Miss A Barrett. Many thanks must also go to Annabelle Matthews and Emma Best for their coaching, advice and support throughout the season
a strong foundation of fitness and teamwork This was shown at the nine lead-I_IP meets where Grammar fielded the largest team and recorded impressive results The spirit, enthusiasm, dedication and skill which characterized the 2004 season were on full display at the aGSSSi6, event at Limestone Park. A mass of blue Grammar supporters lined the track on the day shouting encouragement and creating an atmosphere that was reflected in the outstanding results of the day. The team scored 46 points out of a possible 50, defeating St MargaretS by 4 points and Brisbane State High School by 9 A special mention and thank you must go to the fifteen Captains of Sport who all showed their support and school spirit by competing in the 17 Years race Many outstanding individual results were also recorded on the day. The competitive part of the season began with the annual Interhouse CrossCountry. held in victoria Park. This was an enjoyable event for runners of all standards, with most girls participating in a bright array of House colours. Congratulations must go to Rachel Ferris 110Gj and Monique Rowles 11 IEj who ran the fastest time of the day and to Mackay House for overall victory
