WORK EXPERIENCE Twice each Year, a number of Senior girls choose to spend a week of their holidays involved in a work experience of their choice. Work experience is an excellent opportunity to explore career areas and gain valuable employment skills. it is offered to all Year 11 and 12 students who from the very beginning, are responsible for their own experience. After some preparation and training, they are expected to contact employers and make their own arrangements. Prior to the start of their experience, students earn a Workplace Health and Safety Certificate and are required to become familiar with the Sex Discrimination Act of 1984. This Year about 25 girls chose to "try on careers" in a wide variety of workplaces including pharmacies, legal firms, stockbroking firms. primary schools, liter a ry agencies, a rchitectu rel firms, therapy centres and the police force. The School wishes to thank those employers who made it their business to take time to share their professions with these enthusiastic young women. Mr J Seaha Careers Counsellor
