The Year 95 undertook a two night multimodal expedition. Students moved through a variety of environments using walking, biking and canoeing as a means of travel. The expedition presented the challenge of continuing to develop personal outdoor skills and also the social challenge of interdependence. Students were encouraged to think about the other people in the group as well as themselves and make positive contributions to their small community Canoeing proved to be popular despite some disagreements about steering and biking provided an opportunity to test riding skills, which for some, were newly acquired Despite the absence of everyday comforts like electricity and running water, upon reflection students were proud of their efforts and achievements.
