Chemistry Enrichment During 2002 an extension to the Senior Chemistry program was trialled. Chemistry Enrichment was designed to extend and enrich the student's experience in Senior Chemistry. it was intended that students doing this course would study chemical concepts to a greater depth with an emphasis on critical and complex thinking Students studied the same material as listed in each topic for the Chemistry course but studied this in a shorter time so that extension material based on the unit could be investigated. The extension material was based on the Chemistry course CHEM1012 that is offered by the University of Queensland. Extension areas included Solution Stoichiometry, Titrations and pH Curves, Atomic Structure, Bonding, Enthalpy and Calorimetry, Thermochemistiy, Chemical Kinetics and Equilibrium, and Organic Chemistry
