I think that I have become more 'myself' as we have to spend a lot of time doing our own thing. It's has been great! ROSANNE BARRETT

My Danish school friends are not unlike many of the students in Australia, but in the areas of school curriculum, teaching methods and the daily timetable, there are rather dis- tinct differences. Since then I have learnt much about this land that is bound by seas and has some of the greatest ports and harbours in the world, and about its size, population, capital city and its language which is said to be the third hardest in the world to learn. in the three year level gymnasium system has four classes a day, five days a week. A student may have two days a week on which she has four lessons <1. e. a full day), two days with three classes and one with only two classes. Every student has two dffferent umetables, one for the even weeks and another for the odd numbered weeks of the year. A student's class schedule is therefore constantly alternating. Tms system can be a little confusing and it may take a littte longer to memorize the timetable but it does create an air of variety which is refreshing The AThus Kaledralskole is eight hundred years old and like Grammar is based on tradition, but it also welcomes and embraces the exciting and modern methods of today's society Iwas fortunate enough to experience some of the Katedralskole's modern educational opportunities when I accompanied my class on a study trip to F10rence, Italy, at the end of March

My lifestyle as an eXchange student here in Denmark has encompassed numerous areas ranging from school to host families, from Rotary adventures to school friends, from trying out new sports to putting that new Danish phrase into practice, and from constantly meeting new and exciting people to travelling around Denmark and other countries of Europe Being an EXchange Student and experiencing another country and school cultures it is an unbelievable feeling to experience the Danish lifestyle, to witness and to be part of the traditions, to mingle with Danish school friends in a cafe and use their native tongue From 19th January Ihave been a Rotary Youth eXchange student in AThus, the second largest city in Delrrnark, and for the same have been a student at the AThus Katedralskole period I
