Last year's Senior Production saw the creation of a Dream. This year we took on the daunting task of creating reality: Grover's Corner, New Hampshire, 1956. The Speech and Drama department at Churchie solved the majority of our ini- tial problems: a milkman, paperboy, yuppie, a handful of hus- bands, an eligible bachelor (Hi Derran!), a drunk choir master and an undertaker, to name a few. We've survived four months of rehearsals, accompanied by the expected hitch- es. ... the Churchie boys took a while to comprehend Ton and the choreography sessions, but all learnt to 'jive' finally. ... Manon is still calling her chickens ("Here. .. chick,

chick, chick!") and refusing to wear a dress. .... HeIen is still trying to find the audience - she's looking bui she's not see- ing! ! Naomi needs a step ladder to kiss her father on the cheek (Paul's lucky day!) and Frank just won't leave his pipe alone. Hmmm. .... I can never say that having guys in the cast doesn't make life interesting. The performance dates are set, and with only five rehearsals left, the pressure is on. ... the residents of Our Town are preparing to open their doors and share their lives. To the cast and crew of Owl' Town. may you never forget how to 'jive' or sing the school hymns.
