THE DREAM
science teachers, artists - all contributed to the play. Our production would not have been possible without the won- derful enthusiasm displayed by our stage crew, props assistants, wardrobe and make-up assistants, and the ternf- to support of the innumerable staff members who worked behind the scenes Four and a half months of rehearsals developed a warm- hearted comradeship between the girls at all year levels, and three adventurous staff who 'trod the boards'. Thank you to allof the 170 peopleinvolved. I'm sure that allwho saw the play would be left with one lasting impression: "O excellent!"
Shakes peare could not have dreamed his comedy, "A Midsummer Night's Dream", would become a 'light and sound spectacular', as it did when 67 Girls' Grammar students and staff performed at the Twelfth Night Theatre on July 23-25 Under the imaginative direction of Mrs Mumhy, our pro- duction was a great success, captivating audiences with the story of four confused lovers, an Athenian court, six "hard-handed men that work in Athens. .., which never labor'd in their minds In now", and a forestful of mischie- vous elves and fairies, wearing Christmas tree lights in their hair! The talent of a wide cross-section of the school coinmuni- ty - actors, musicians, dancers, dress-makers, "electrician"
