BLACK RHINO We were extremely fortunate to see these Black Rhinos because tliey are rapidly nearing extinction. The first time we saw them was on the ci. ater floor. There was a bit of family tension present as the soil became too big for his boots

Dassies became very popular with us all except when their screaming echoed through the night. Could you look at these faces with anything more than delight?

NGORONGORO CRATER in the first part of the trip we were to have one of the most exciting and memorable times of our lives, Just about to go to bed forthe night. we heard the loud stampede of Zebra as their hoofs shook the ground. They came closer and closer and soon passed our tents which shook along with the ground. We jumped outside to see what was going on and were confronted by a lioness standing no more than six feet away from us. We were quickly told to get back into our tents. The next morning we found out that there had also been two huge male lions. standing next to the fire only a short distance from our tents, and how they had to be literally pushed away from the campsite by our land cruiser
