who competed - Belinda Bentley, Shelley 111ff. Emma Anderson and Kale Gasteen - were all rewarded with placings The Pine Lodge Interschool Equestrian Championships held in July were contested by many riders and more than halfofthe BCG. S. girls competing were placed in the top five oreach event. The A team was placed first overall, thus qualifying for the State Finals in September. Girls' Grammar also entered events at IPswich aiTd Kooralbyn and performed coinmendably with many girls gaining high placings The Karate Club is a small but energetic part of the school where students continue to learn this ancient art of self- defence. Several new members joined the group during first semester, most of whom have since been graded at least once. Participation on School Day allows this group to perform in public, under many a sceptical eye. The Theatre Dance Company is a unique sporting group at B. G. G. S. Girls of all grades, standards, and styles come together once a week for rehearsals

Theatre Dance had its first concert of the year on February 24, followed soon afteiwards by participation in the school musical, "The Boyfriend". Here girls had the opportunity to perform both solo and in groups and to work with both song and dance On School Day an hourlong revue was presented and the October concert will be dedicated to Talent Showcase This is a chance for girls to present their own work anti to participate in others' Club sport within the school largely depends on the involvement of parents for their support and organisation and for this the school is grateful. Staff and coaches are also thanked for their unfailing dedication and valued support in coordinating and coaching the girls. With such a dedicated body, the future of club sport at B. G. G. S, looks bright
