IAZZ ENSEMBLE The jazz ensemble was formed this year, consisting of approximately fifteen girls, and conducted by an enthusiastic Mr Smith. Mr Smith has worked with the group every Friday lunchtime throughout the year, developing a pleasing standard. Our first appearance was made at the school's music concert. This gave us the confidence we needed to move on to a wider variety of modern and popular music. Every member of the ensemble has enjoyed the year and looks forward to continue working with the group to obtain even better results next year.

WIND QUINTET The quintet was formed this year to make full use of the va- riety of instruments played by B.C.C.S. students. Under the guidance of Miss A. Laver, we have progressed to complicated works in the few short months that we have been rehearsing. The group, consisting of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and french horn, hopes to perform in future concerts. Kylie Vann.
