1989 has been a very productive year for Concert Bank. With the addition of many new players, early rehearsals were spent developing the group cohesion necessary for tackling more challenBing pieces. Under the baton of Mr Rodney jacobson, our new conductor, the group has per-formed a variety of pieces at our school concefts. Mr Jacobson's willingness to share his experience and expeftise with the band has been invalua- bie in attaining our present standard of playing. Concert Band remains a large group of dedicated players and we are sure that next year's band will continue to develop a high standard of playing.

fuNroR coNcERT BAND Every Thursday afternoon, the Cehrmann Theatre boomed with sound from the Junior Concert Band enthusiastically practising under the supervision of our conductor, Mrs Smith. 1989 has been a particularly enjoyable year, with the Junior Concert Band playing in a number of concefts, on School Day and at musical evenings. Junior Concert Bank plays a wide selection of music, from classical pieces to modern rock. On behalf of the band, we thank Mrs Smith for her suppoft and patience in conducting us throughout the year and we wish the best of luck to next year's Junior Concert Band.
