RECORDE R CONSORT/E NSEMBLE 1989 has been a year of potential. Unfortunately, due to the overcommitment of the group's members, we have been unable to realise much of it. We were going to enter both the Pine Rivers and City of Brisbane Eisteddfods, but were forced to withdraw because of prior commitments. Nevertheless, we did manage to get together at the same place and the same time to perform on School Day. We have also acquired some new music which we hope to play
The Flute Choir has been established in the school since 1985, and consists of players of varying abilities from Years B, 9 and 10. We play a variety of music ranging from simple duets to ensemble pieces, classical music to modern themes. We meet every Tuesday lunch hour and perform at various functions. Under the instruction of our conductor, Miss MacAskill, the Flute Choir has certainly progressed over the year and we're sure it has given all members the chance to improve their playing. Best wishes to next year's leader. We hope next year will be as profitable as this year has been. Jacqueline Mowbray Caroline Hopkins Leaders.
