SCUffiA CLUB The Scuba Club has been quiet this year but we haven't been completely drowned out (if you'll pardon the pun). A group of f ive Year Elevens and one Year Twelve gained their Open Water qualif ication in March this year aften 3 weekend at Bulwer on $oreton lsland. Congratulationrs and lots of enjoyable diving to Edwina Astley, Susie Howes, Diana Lohrisch, Sarah Martin, Rhesa Menkens and Lynne Falconer. ln addition, four of our intrepid divers gained their Advanced qualification. lt was hard work (just ask Nln Emery), but worth different diving situations, including night-diving, search and salvage, navigation, and deep diving (to more than twenty metres). Congratulations to the following for making it and surviving: Michele Stitz, Liza Bowen, Miss Derrington, and Mr Emery.
