Behind the organised chaos which settles into calm order each school day, there is a body of parents quietly working in various \q/ays to improve ihe school, to provide services to the students, and to gain revenue for [uture buildings and equipmenr. These mothens and fathers, and their fniends, give their time in voluntary and unpaid service to show iheir love and commitm.ent in yet another way, and to give the girls a little more than they might otherwise have. As well as the continu.ing activities of the tuckshop and stationery stores, clothing store and new and second_ hand book shop, some of the activities undertaken over the past year have included: completion of paving of school grounds and Iandscaping o{ the front of "the school area; considerable improlement at lmbitr; the sponsoring and organisation of a Valedictorv Dinner for Year.Twelve girls and their parents, organisation of a number of social functions, and much rn-or". With the funds raised, the F. & F. has been able to provide a numLrer of extra facilities for the students,use. This has included the purchase of additional computers and eqLripment for $60,000, and Media Department videos valued at around $t0,000 this year. Around $200,000 has also been donated for work ar lmbil over the past couple of years. The Parents and Friends f reely give their time and gifts to the school, knowing it is appreciated. trhey want Brisbane Cirls'Crammar School to continue to be the best girls' school in Australia.
