WATER P@8.@ Saturday sunbrakers at the Valley pool were once again impressed with the skills shown by the Grammar Water Polo players. Eight teams entered the competition for the'87/'BB season. Congratulations to allthose girls who proved the Grammar club so indestructable! Results for the season were as follows:

It seemed most players achieved their goals ... except when stopped by the goaliel The experience and ability of many of our girls were shown by the large number of players who were selected for the representative teams, ranging from Brisbane North Schoolgirls' teams to Australian Open teams. The Brisbane North team which consisted of mainly Cirls'Crammar girls ended up third in the state competition. Well done! Newcomers to water polo seemed very eager to experiment with and learn new skills under the watchful eyes of our wonderf ul coaches who remained dedicated all season. Special thanks to them, and to Vicci 5haw, -1987 Head Coach and Jacki Lukis, 19BB Head Coach. We congratulate the girls chosen for representative teams: Debbie Sander, Jo Martel, Clare Derrington, Fiona Cameron, Diana Lohrisch, Melissa Bell. Queensland Schoolgirls: Melissa Bell (first reserve). Queensland Under 20: Kate Bell, Nadia Freeman. Queensland Open: Kate Bell, Stacey Mclennan. Australian Open: Amanda Leeson. Thanks so much to the new Grammar Water Polo Committee and to the parents who organised absolutely everything for us and made our season so successf ul, and to Jackie Crane for taking over the captaincy when I was sick.
