Elizabeth Jameson entered Brisbane Girls' Grammar School in 1978 as a Year 8 student. Her grandmother, Laura Horn, attended the school from 1907 to 1914 but unfortunately Elizabeth's mother was unable to attend due to World War II . This year Elizabeth has been a Head Girl, Captain of Gibson House and Treasurer of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. This busy schedule has not prevented Elizabeth from completing her Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awa rd, entering Lion's Youth of the Year quest and competing in Jaycees "Youth Speaks for Australia" . In the Youth of the Year quest Elizabeth was successful in winning the Club and Regional sections and also won Lion's District 210K Youth of the Year public speaking award. Elizabeth also won the State award and eventually the National award in Jaycees "Youth Speaks for Australia" . This is an outstanding achievement and we are sure Elizabeth has an extremely bright future ahead. Elizabeth carries with her the best wishes of all members of the school family.
