Mr. Robb again coached the 'C' team. On behall of al1 the hockey players, I would like to thank Mr. Robb lor the time and energy he repeatedly offers to Grammar hockey. The 82 and C2 teams this year had a separate draw to the A' B' C' teams. Miss Williamson, who coached the 82 team and also was responsible for the overall organization of school hockey, must be thanked for her efforts. Mrs. Cormie, the coach for C2 team deserves a special mention for the endless patience and time she gave in coaching our newest hockey players. I would llke to thank both Mrs. Minson and Mrs. Cormie for their time in coaching and organizing the school Downey Park team and also Hilary Minson who so capably captained this team. The Downey Park team was composed of players from both A and B teams, who devotedly played each weekend till the semi-final on the 29th August. All players thoroughly en- joyed the games, and gained much experience from the ad- ditional competition. Good luck to next year's captain and players, and have as much lun as we have had. Grammar Hockey 1981 Hockey again proved to be one ol the most popular third term sports, for.this season. As well as fielding five teams in the Q.G.S.S.S.A. competition, we also participated in the Brisbane Women's Hockey Association lixtures at Downey Park. The senior 'A' team this season was a young team due to the loss of many more experienced players at the end of last season. Marg Comino, Louise Radcliflfe, Liz Robb and Grainia King were the 'sole survivors' who battled on and thoroughly enjoyed their last season of Grammar hockey. Our coach Mr. Madden, plus his two dominant members ol the Grammar sideline squad, must be thanked for their loyal support. Without Mr. Madden's drive, encouragement, and expertise, our season would not have been as successful. fhe 'B' team experienced one ofthe most successful seasons for some time, and with only two games remaining, at the time of writing, are undefeated. This team is coached by two past Grammar hockey players, Libby Mirls and Debbie Thiess whose time, eflort and enthusiasm has been greatly appreciated by all. P.S. The 'B' team iinished premiers. Club Hockey Report Alter a lapse ol lour years, B.G.G.S. nominated a team to play at Downey Park in the Brisbane Women's Hockey Association fixtures. The team was made up of Year 10's, ll's and 12's, most of whom played in the school competition. We reached the semi-linals on the 29th August but unfortunately lost l-0. The rnembers gained great experience playing in the club competition against a variety ol teams. I would like to thank Miss Williamson for her valuable support at the beginning, and Mrs. Cormie and Mrs. Minson for coaching and helping me to organize the team. I would like to wish the club and all hockey players the best of luck in the future. Hilary Minson Club Hockey Captain
