TEGEND Sunrise in the eyes of Talwalpin, eyes in love. Her flowers in the eyes of Kowinka forever in the sea. For a storm came in fury across the sky And took two away from their air, from their life. Light came to the sky and people of Biami Found lovers rare in beauty and in faith: Dead and cast from lhe sea Talwalpin, her limbs of ice, lay upon the sand The sunrise in her eyes was gone With the colour of her cheeks to wander the sky. Leaving yellow buds in her hair that brought pity. Nearby where water washed kneedeep across the mud Kowinka'became bound by death to live forever. Until the sea ls dry and hard, Until the land is mist A tree with flowers, gold as day Will lean across the water To the mangrove, reaching back. B. Shepherdson.

I thought it was the end. For a few seconds - Although it seemed more -
I sailed through the air; Looked down on my life. I couldn't complain, for my life had been good. I thought in that split second, That I had known both sadness and happiness, So I did not protest As I saw the book - my book - close. But no - Here is an ant, Crawling on my finger, By a treee, leading to the sky. It was then I realized That I had been chosen - Not to lead a new life - But to build upon what already was there - Letting the sunshine through; Finding new ways to pass on What those who have gone, Gave to me: FRIENDSHIP, GUIDANCE, CARE - LOVE - My present to you.
My Poem I am a little nuisance to everyone I know. I cannot really help it, it seems to come and go. Although lam aterror a devil and a dear I really feel quite sorry for the teacher I've got this Year. Loulse Radcliffe, 10D
