1976 saw a revival of the spirit of Ballgames in Brisbane Girls' Grammar. Training be[an late second term and we were fortunate in having the help and valuable time of Miss Hatton to put us back on to the path of improvement. Thanks must also go to Janet Torney for her 'patience' with the i secrrnd-lormerS,teachingthemtheskillsandfunda- mentals of the games without which they could not ;= have gained a first place in tunnel-and-lig. t* Each age-group performed to the best of their iT abilitv on the dav and sained a srrrnrisins /esnecirllrr k t y _ y g u p i i g ( p cial y to Miss Hatton) second place in the ovtrali resuli, behind St. Hilda's winning team. The result was a great.irnprovement for Grammar after coming a dis- appointing eighth place in the previous year. With a little more effort and conceniratiou next year, we should see Girls' Grammar with thl lgiT Ballgarnes Cup.
