Art Show T'he Show, held 14th, l5th and 16th September, was opened by Mr. Don Cameron M.F. at a very successful Wine and Cheese night on the Friday. Again we had a good variety of crafts displayed and in addition demonstrations of pottery making, copper enamelling, painting and copper tooling were included. A special thank you to all who assisted in making the Show a great success. Procesds from the Show went to the School Centenary Fund,
OLD GtrR.LS' ASSOCT,AT'ION I{OTES : The Old Girls' Association was founded in 1899' Annual subscription is $2.00, due in February each year;Life membership is $40.00. The magazine fee is optional and may vary from year to year, usually payable by August 3lst. Badges can be obtained for 75c. Memberstrip is open to all past pupils who have attended the school for a period of one year but pupils who have attended for a shorter time may be admitted at the discretion of the Committee. OBJECTS To quote from the constitution: (a) To keep up a connection between past pupils and the school and to promote friendship amongst past pupils. (b) To maintain an interest in the welfare of the school. At the 74th Annual General Meeting of the Old Girls' Association held on l9th F'ebruary, 1973, the following office bearers were elected: President: Mrs. K. Ticehurst Treasurer: Miss J. Vallis Assistant Treasurer: Mrs. R. Isles Committee: Miss L. Chesters, Miss P. Gordon, Miss N. Grout, Miss E. Murray, Miss R. Pashen, Miss W. Rutledge. Honorary Auditor: Mrs. S. Jury The proposed date for the 1974 Annval General Meeting is llth February, 1973. ACTTVITIES Welcome to New Members A buffet dinner at L,ennons to welcome new members was held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting on l9th February. Forty-seven members were present and we were able to extend a special welcome to a few new members. We hope to be able to welcome more past pupils in 1974 Bundaleer Bar-BQ An enjoyable evening was had by all at a barbeque at Brookfield on 7th April. Plenty of response was received from friends and it was good to see some Old Girls present..Congrattrlations to tlte Chefs and their assistants for a job well done. Combined B.G.G.S.O.G.A. & B.G.S.O.B.A. Ball This year we held a "Roaring Twenties" Ball at the Crest International Hotel on 20th July. All present appeared to have a very enjoyable evening. Prizes, for the most appropriate dress for the occasion and lucky tickets, w6re given away.
