T here can be no doubt that in 2022, the girls and young women of Brisbane Girls Grammar School brought to life our motto, Bloom with the Blue —with all of its underlying themes of Spirit, Inclusivity and Growth . The School Magazine will be, I hope, a lifelong memento for all of our students who were such an important part of Girls Grammar this year. In its pages you will find beautifully crafted stories and photos that capture the essence of the motto. Our Publications Committee has thoughtfully created this tangible keepsake that will be treasured by Grammar girls as they look back on their time at BGGS. It has brought great joy to see the growth and progress of Grammar girls this year, and to work with their teachers and our professional staff who provide the experience students are able to learn from and enjoy. To the Year 12 class of 2022, you are ready to embark on a new journey beyond School as Grammar Women. I hope you look back on your time here with many happy memories—a place of growth, inclusivity, and spirit. It has been a year of strengthening the Girls Grammar sisterhood, with the return of sporting competitions, and live music and drama performances offering opportunities for girls to revel in the Grammar spirit, to champion one other in pursuit of their physical and creative talents. As detailed in this thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented magazine, students have been involved in such varied pursuits. From service, community and leadership programs to the performing and visual arts, music ensembles, sporting teams, study groups, debating, and clubs.
