OPEN DAY

OPEN DAY THIS YEAR WAS ANOTHER SPECTACULAR CELEBRATION OF WHAT IT IS TO BE A PART OF THE GIRLS GRAMMAR COMMUNITY. As the lights and balloons went up, so too did the excitement levels for one of the most anticipated events on the School’s calendar. Academic displays, sporting demonstrations, music and arts performances, and brownies and fairy floss combined to provide new and old members of the School with an evening that typifies its diversity and spirit. The incoming 2016 Year 8s took part in a special orientation

activity that will ensure they are familiar with the School when we officially welcome them next year. Teachers and students were also on hand to answer any questions, and Head Girls Jacinta McGinley and Natalia Gulbransen-Diaz made a cameo appearance at presentations by Principal Ms Euler and Chair of the Board of Trustees Ms Jameson to offer their perspective on life as a Grammar girl. The OGA welcomed back old girls to the School, many returning with prospective and current students as daughters and granddaughters. House groups and clubs raised $23600 on the night for their respective charities, characteristic of the generosity of the School community.
