MACKAY

T his year has truly been a remarkable year for Mackay House. Our motto: ‘Angels in white; Mackay unite’ reflected the value of relationships in creating the spirit of our House, which is renowned for its vitality and grit. As House Captains, we could not be more proud of our Mackay angels, especially amidst such unprecedented times, as our girls remained enthusiastic and, most importantly, unified. Mackay House has had much to celebrate in 2020. From welcoming our new angels, to our House Party, and to winning the Interhouse Swimming Competition, Mackay House has thrived. House spirits were once again lifted during rehearsals and the performance of Taylor Swift’s Love Song at the Interhouse Choir Competition.

Congratulations to Sport Captains, Georgine Houghton (12M) and Lucinda Sherman (12M), and to our Choral Captains, Charlize Knudsen (12M) and Demitra Poulos (12M), who inspired the House to do its best at each Interhouse event. We must also thank our amazing Head of House, Ms Jans, for her unwavering support and our wonderful House Group teachers who have had such an impact guiding each Year level. Finally, we thank our fellow Year 12 Mackay peers. Your leadership and encouragement has meant so much to us. We consider ourselves lucky to have shared so many unforgettable memories with you for the past six years and sincerely wish each of you the best for your future endeavours.
