SENIOR CHOIR Through the years, despite a decrease in ranks and several changes of conductresses, the Senior Choir has lived on! This year in fact, the choir experienced a very pleasing increase in members. To begin the year, we welcomed the new Director of Music, Mrs Pedersen , as our conductress. Mrs Pedersen injected great pizazz into our world of song. With our increased enthusiasm and our new title of Senior Choir, our dedicated conductress led us on to fame and glory- but more about that later. During Term II we said "goodbye" to Mrs Pedersen and Miss Cook conducted us until Mrs Pedersen's return. (Thanks to Miss Cook) . This year we have sung at the schools end-of-

term concerts and at the Westside Festival. Later we participated in the Pine Rivers Secondary Schools Competition and were all very excited when our hard work paid off and we won!!

This year has been very rewarding as all of our performances were well received.

Thank you very much Mrs Pedersen for all the time and effort you put in, to make this year a success and another big thank you to our faithful accompanist, Penny Goode, who has always been there to keep those keys tinkling.

The choir participated in Music Camp activities, the end- of-term concert, as well as being asked to perform at the Choral Conductor's Workshop.

1985 has seen many changes to Concert Choir- we were pleased to welcome Mrs Pedersen, our new director of music, as conductor and also our new accompanist, Miss Jones.

Concert Choir is currently preparing for the "Prom" Concerts, to be held at both Boys' and Girls' Grammar.

A traditional Christmas evening will be held towards the end of the year, as a finale to the year.

Our first performances for the year were the end of term concerts at both Grammar schools.

With the absence of Mrs Pedersen in second term, the task of conducting was shared by Mr May, Miss M. Myers and Miss Cook .

Many thanks must go to all the teachers involved, for all their hard work and for making another year of singing an enjoyable one.
