May 24th-25th - lnterschool gymnastics, both rhythmic and artistic, produced excellent achievements. The level of competition is increasing. june 7th-18th - Accompanied by Mr and Mrs Hancock and some teachers, a group of Grammar girls embarked on a tour of japan to help celebrate the 60th anniversary of our sister school. June 13th- The first Sports' Presentation Evening for the year was in the auditorium, where girls were rewarded for their sporting achievements throughout the semester. The European jetsetters had a "smoother than expected" voyage on the other side of the world. The 32 girls from Grades 9 to 12, spent six weeks travelling and having a great time in Geneva, Munich, Paris, Avignon , London . ..

July 24th- jessica and I attended the launching of the book "Brisbane Girls' Grammar School The First Sixty Years" , written by Mr Peter Prideaux. Many old girls and staff attended, one of whom was Dr Elsie Harwood , who launched the book with an interesting and amusing speech. july 29th- Four students from Clontarf High School visited our school , the aim of the visit being to overcome any misunderstandings which exist about our school and its functions. The visit was returned and a great deal of value and experience was gained from the exchange.

August 3rd - A Grade Volleyball Team competed in the State Secondary Schools' Titles.

August 8th- A Forum evening was held by the Old Girls' Association on the Multi-facet Roles for Women, for Year 12's. It was a beneficial discussion, with contrasting views from past pupils and the present students.

june 14th - One semester over, one to go!!!

June 20th -Queensland Secondary Schools' Basketball Championships in Rockhampton .

September 3rd-4th - A.S.A.T.

September 14th- B.G.G.S. School Day " Grammar through a looking glass" .

july 13th - Winter Fixtures began with all teams enthusiastic.

September 18th - lnterhouse Athletics.

July 21st-24th- japanese students from our sister school treated us to a special assembly, displaying several aspects of their culture. Their presence helped create an even stronger bond between Girls' Grammar, the Tsushima Girls' High School and our respective countries. july 22nd- The Head Girls were invited to represent the school at the official Swearing-in Ceremony of the Honourable Sir Walter Campbell , as the Governor of Queensland . There were among the guests, 150 schools representatives from all parts of Brisban e.

September 21st - Ski trip to the Perisher/Smiggins Snowfields.

October 4th - Grade 12 Dinner Dance at the Sheraton "The Day every senior has been eagerly awaiting".

October 23rd - G.P.S. Athletics at QE II.
