CORROBOREE. A silken scarf that 'cross the moon was swept, A rr.Jst of grey, symmetrical and long, Winding slowly upward from the flames that leapt Within that brightly·shadowded throng. Like many-coloured leaves torn from the tree And dancing in the music of the storm, Beating feet throb out the rhythm wild and free And light licks up each madly dancing form.

PUPPET. Wooden body, pcinted, steadfast gaze, Dangling mindless, lifeless in your pla·ce; Immobile lun:.p of insignificance. Let but a touch from your creator's hand Move your lax, insubstantial lines of life, Then instantaneously you wake, Spring from your slumber into urgent life, Wdk, run, jump, leap for joy at your release; Your face expressionless becomes transformed. Your eyes light up, your mouth turns in a smile What was one moment passive, dull , inert, Now brings delight to hearts of young and old.
