FOR HiRSCHFELD HOUSE, 2011 WAS A YEAR To REMEMBER. IT ALL STARTED WITH THE HIRSCHFELD HOUSE PARTY. THE POOL LAWN WAS AWASH IN EVERY SHADE OF ORANGE As THIS YEAR'S GENERATION OF PROUD HIRSCHFELD TIGERS PLAYED THEIR WAY THROUGH SOME CRAZY GAMES, ATE PIZZA AND CONSUMED A TONNE OF CAKE.

The newYear 8 cubs blew everyone awaywith their awesome Hirschfeld spirit as they sang their way to first place in the talent competition. Every week flew past in a flurry of House breakfasts, intra-house bonding and lots of House assembly activities. Our Year lis and House Prefects in particular must be coinmended for their enthusiasm in organising events aimed to connect Hirschfeld girls of all ages All too soon inter house Swimming was upon us and, inspired by some fierce new-and-improved war cries by House Spirit Captain Vivien Shu, the House stepped up to the starting block and took to the pool as only tigers do. Inter house Cross Country was next which saw our girls paint Victoria Park orange as they conquered the dreaded Dog

ark Hill. At every event Hirschfeld girls never shied away from showing off their contagious enthusiasm. Then came the night to deck the School in magical fairy lights - Open Day. The girls in orange set up the legendary Hirschfeld gourmet hot potato stall. Our admiration and thanks must go to the Year 115 who made the night run with super-smooth precision. These efforts, combined with those of each of our girls throughout the yeai; including the organisation of Pyjama Day, and the support of our Service Ca to ns, Susannah Martin and 15abella MCVeigh, allowed us to raise over $5500 for Hirschfeld's new House charity, the Pyjama Foundation.
