Lilley A ‘TOADST’ TO LILLEY HOUSE TAIT MCGREGOR AND LILY PRATT, HOUSE CAPTAINS

it was Swimming Carnival — the event where Lillians thrive. However, hopping across the line in third place at Cross Country also had the House leaping for joy! This amazing result continued into the Athletics Carnival where we sprung to second place, restoring Lilley’s sporting glory. A new era began in 2014 with the selection of the very fitting Lily House as our new House charity. Lily House offers short-term accommodation on the Sunshine Coast to young women — of similar ages to us — with the aim of assisting those facing hardship, and helping them to integrate into the community with a sense of hope and purpose. This Open Day, we were able to raise $1956 for this wonderful cause — almost double the amount of the previous year — thanks to our famous and delicious Lilley fudge. We were also lucky to experience our incoming Year 7 and 8s for this brief night, welcoming them into the Lilley army. We honestly could not be hoppier or prouder of Lilley House this year as we have gone above and beyond the puddle. We’re delighted to say that we Lillians continue to be the biggest frogs in the pond. ■

Lilley House was toad-ally submerged in Lilley spirit, making the other Houses green with envy from the very first day. This year we welcomed back students from overseas, had outstanding performances across sport, drama, music, and academia, and embraced our new tadpoles, the Year 8s. Sprinkled throughout this jam-packed year were many celebrations including a pancake breakfast, sport breakfast and our old favourite, pastry breakfasts. This year has been an un-frog-ettable year for Lilley House. It commenced with the House party, which was easily the most ribbiting event of the season. It was a great way to swamp the tadpoles with Lilley spirit. Before we knew it,
