From 1945, Prefects’ badges reappeared and were proudly worn by Grammar students only changing in style when the handmade badge was replaced by the quicker and cheaper mass-produced replicas. They were the only form of identification for prefects until the crest was embroidered onto the top blazer pocket in 1964.
