The Club made over £50 at the " Community Fair," run by the National Council of Women in August in the City Hall , with £10 worth of goods on hand , which are now sold in the opportunity section. Because of we t weather, the te nnis matches for the Syb iI Dickson sh ield will be played on the 9th November. Q.G.A. players for 1952 are Mrs. S. Elms (captain l, Gloria and Kathie Blair , and Margaret Turname. All financial members of the O.G. Assoc iati on may join the above club. Our sympathy goes to the re latives of the fo llowi ng Old Girls:-Miss I. M. Caine ; Miss Bet ty T . Shanks, and Mrs. Joan Hobson. Mrs . Hobson was Head Girl in 1935, and had a ve ry di stingui shed scho lastic career, w inning a Uni vers ity Scho larship to the Uni vers ity of Queensland, where she graduated as a B.A. with honou rs. She subsequentl y gained her Diploma in Soc ial Studies at the Uni ve rsi ty of Sydney. Fo r two yea rs she was travelling secretary for the Austra lian Student Christian Movement.
