The \, iew was breathtaking and was worn} the 6kiiT walk Liphill! After we informed the other groups, who had spent all morning working on their tans, of what was ahead of them, we ate Iuncl\ and relaxed. Our walk down was nTuch easier and soon after arriving bacl< at the Campsite, we were sure we ITearcl the screams of the other the v. ,ITo were experiencing groups, refreshing I?!? swim We prepared dinner and were eat- ing at about 4pm! All that was on oLir minds was sleep! Day three, OUT last day! After break- fast our full day of canoeing started. 11 was really relaxing. We saw many landmarks that ITad been walked on the days before. We stopped at the Kin Kin InformatioiT Centre and admired the before us. Lake Cootharaba scenery was our final stretcll of water and fortu- nately there was no crosswind which would have slowed us right down. The weather and water were perfect

Board Course HPE students and four teachers were just winding up for a long three days, as part of the Outdoor Education unit, at Cooloola National Park in preparation, litentis for' all meals, toilet arrangements and sleeping at- rangemenrs 11ad to be organized. it wasn't easy. A1 7.00ain on the Thurs- day itToming, niost of Lis were set to face what was going to be a tough weekend. A bus drove us to Elanda Point - our starling spot After a full day's walking or canoe- ing, two groups stayed at Harry's I\ut campsite while the other two groups stayecl at Campsite 5 - a little Lip the river. A10st of LIS ITacl the expel'ience of being part of "good old" lvh' Kilnble's lateral thinkers. which after a frustrat- ing day, dicl not go down too well. We all cherisl}ed our first nights sleep On tile second nTorning some of us were woken by the freezing coltl tern- petatures of the Upper Noosa River SwimnTing was the only way To cross The river and after drying off and pre- paring to set off, Mr Kimble, on the oilier side of the river, informed us that someone ITad left their Mars Bars on the Table, whiclT was an essential part of that night's dessert So brave Lou Hancocl< faced the water again. We finally set off. We arrived at Campsite
