Creative ARts YEAR 7 AND 8 DRAMA PRODUCTION

This year, a cast of fourteen Year 7 and 8 students staged a production of The Lost Property Rules , written by Matthew Ryan. The production was directed by Miss Churchland and rehearsals spanned over Terms II and III, before the show was performed across two nights in late July. The Lost Property Rules explores the trials and tribulations of two young girls, Alice and Isobel. Both girls are navigating their way through childhood, grappling with the complexities of school life, identity and family. Ultimately, the production was an overwhelming success, mustering a sold-out audience for both shows, and the girls’ performances were of an incredibly high standard. As the youngest performers in the school, the production was an excellent opportunity for the girls to get involved in the Drama programme at Girls Grammar, and allowed them to meet and work with girls in different Years and house groups, while experiencing the challenges, dedication and rewards of being a part of a high-level theatre production.
